February 20, 2022
This is a collection of rare images of the glorious language movement. The language movement was not limited to the events of February 1952. The movement for recognition of Bangla as a state language began 1947 and reached a climax in 1952. In 1954 the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan decided that Bengali along with Urdu would be the state languages of Pakistan. Finally, in 1956, the first constitution of Pakistan adopted Bangla as one of the official languages of Pakistan.
