Lalana, a women’s illustrated weekly, started its journey in April 1966. Zinia Hossain was the founding editor of this Dhaka-based Bangla magazine. It used to be printed in the Eastern Printing, Publishing and Packages by Abdus Sattar. The weekly used to publish novels, stories, poems, essays and news on various women-related issues and entertainment. Its office was located at 342, Segun Bagan, Dhaka. The registration number of the weekly was DA 556.
